"The Technics DJ Academy is a great breeding ground for up and coming DJs, something I would have really appreciated when I started out. Access to the best equipment, expert teaching and the opportunity to mix with like-minded people makes it a great environment, especially for younger DJs.
These days it’s essential for a good DJ to have a broad knowledge of the industry, and experience in areas such as events and music production - on top of DJ skills - is a huge bonus. I try and support up-and-coming talent through my radio show and magazine column, so I think it's fantastic that DJs can become part of a training centre like this to develop their skills." "As well as quality DJ training, the Academy also gives you invaluable experience in the promotion and organisation of your own club events. The career of a DJ is no longer just about playing records, it is also essential that you have an in-depth understanding of promotions, presentation and the business surrounding your chosen career. This is where the Technics DJ Academy really comes into its own."

"Let me say how impressed I was with the work being undertaken at the Technics DJ Academy. There has long been a need for the aspiring DJ to be properly trained, not only in the technical skills required for scratching and mixing, but also in the business skills necessary to run an event. The instruction is carried out by DJs who themselvesd have skills at the highest level puts this course head and shoulders above others that we have encountered. The students I met were clearly learning in an enjoyable and highly informative way."

After taking a look round the academy and talking with the tutors, i'm just gutted that I didnt know about something like this when i started out. You can learn here in 6 months, what it takes years to learn through experience. Its taken a lot of work, and a lot of trial and error (10 years to be precise) for me to get to the stage i am at technically, and as a dj, and I still have lots to learn. With something like the technics academy around, with such massively experienced tutors, you can condense so much in a short time. Its vital nowadays, if you want to get anywhere, to be able to produce, and also incorporate live aspects such as abbleton. Its rare to make it simply as a dj nowadays. The academy covers everything! Even putting on nights and setting up record labels! I'll even be taking full advantage of the facilites here! Scratch lessons are on my list!! Well impressed!
